Our favorite time of the year....

Baseball season...!!

Carter is back for another year (and last year) of machine pitch baseball.  He is one of the 3 older kids on his team and does a great job leading the younger kids. 

Matt is coaching again with the help of two great guys (Dustin and Brad) that help teach these boys the game.  All the boys are making improvements every game.  I love watching these boys have fun and get excited about the little things.  Lets go METS!! 

More crafting...

Ashlynn got another crafting package and was busy again working on her projects.  She decorated a handy basket, painted a wooden flip flop frame and put together beaded necklaces.  She enjoyed finishing all her projects over a span of a few days.

And the winner is....

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....Tom's 40 Pines Sweet Chili won second place at our ward party out of 12 pots of chili!  The first place winner was also a sweet chili but had sweet peppers in it.  The kids were so excited that we won and got this cool metal!   Our friends won the pie contest so we are getting together to have a prize winning meal.

Shower fun for Tanja...

My friend Cami and I threw a shower for our dear friend Tanja.  We are so excited for her and Brad and their new baby boy that is coming in June.

Matt and our friend's little girl (McKayla) acting silly before the party.  Then, the boys headed out to play baseball at the high school.  

The food table...Mini tassie pies, fruit kabobs and veggies with dip...YUM!

We also put together a diaper cake with the help of our handy husbands (Thanks Matt and Tyler!) You should be professional diaper cake makers.

It turned out SO CUTE!

Here is the lovely mom to be and all her loot from the party!  We all had a great time visiting with people we haven't seen in a while since the ward split.  Thanks for letting us do this for you!

Birthday Tracker Book

Another Craft kit came in the mail last week...Ashlynn put together this fun Birthday Tracker book.  She is working on getting everyone's birthday that she knows in her book. 
 

She made sure her birthday was the first one.  Can't forget her day to celebrate!

Thanks Grandma Bobbi for sending these fun kits.  She is having a blast making them.

Carter 10th B-Day

BIRTHDAY BOY CARTER!   

 

Happy APRIL FOOL'S DAY!

 

 

Ashlynn and I covered him with shredded confetti while he was sleeping.  He woke up and thought it was funny!  He still has it on his bed because he thinks it was that cool to be sprinkled with confetti.

His floor was decorated too!

 

Carter had the day off from school on his birthday this year because it was our school's spring break.  (We got one day off from the week..yippee one day, but we will take any day off from school)

Carter opened his family gifts before Matt headed to work and scored lots of sports things..baseball mit, basketball, new roller blades, remote race car, BSU gear and a Lebron James jersey. 

He then ended his day with a party at the Aquatic Center with his closest friends.  They played basketball and swam for 3 hours.  We also had Subway sandwiches in the party room.  We all had a blast!  Happy Birthday Carter!  We love you and glad that you enjoyed your special day!  Your the perfect April Fool's boy to joke around with.
On a side note:  The next day (April 2nd) Carter made a comment that it was not April Fool's day because I guess I packed him a fruit punch Capri Sun Drink in his lunch and he did not appreciate the gesture.  (if you know Carter he very much DISLIKES mostly anything fruity) I honestly did not realize what I did but Ashlynn had his drink instead (they got switched).  It did make us both smile on the way home from school after Carter told us again that it was not funny! 

Easter

The kids participated in a another Egg Dive this year for Easter.  It is always an adventure and fun to have swimming time after their egg hunt.  The kids only got to swim a short time after the hunt, but went back with their friends later that afternoon.
 Before the Egg Dive Carter's team played in the Championship basketball game for their grade. Sadly, they did not win, but played their little hearts out to get the win.  We had a great season and made some new friends along the way. 

The Easter bunny had a sports attire theme this year.  Athletic clothes and flip flops..we all love our new comfy sports attire!  Also, G & G Greer sent fun Easter bag filled with treats, toys and money.  Thanks for the Easter Surprise!

Lastly, our Utah family gathered for Easter Dinner.  It was so nice to be with everyone during this special holiday to remember the Resurrection of our Savior.  Carter also got to have everyone around to sing Happy Birthday to him and have cake!
