Visitors from Boise & a Finger Injury

My Dad and Corey came to visit.  We played miniature golf, watched Carter's football game, played lots of games at home, ate at Ashlynn's choice of restaurant (the place where you can get your own food) and enjoyed each others company.  We were glad they could come visit!

 

Oh and by the way...Matt also broke a few bones in his right ring finger from playing football with Carter.  He landed himself in the ER, a few x-ray's, and more doctor visits to find out that he has to wait 10 days before they decide to do surgery on the finger.  He has to wait to see if the splint is going to work.  If it is working than he will keep the fun looking splint on his finger for 6 weeks or they will put pins in his finger and put on another splint.  So, poor Matt has very limited movement with his right hand.

Road Trip..

Road trip to Grandma's house we go..on the pavement we go for 4 hours..

If you look past all the smashed bugs on our window you can see an awesome picture of the sun.

So glad that we can fit time in to see this funny lady..my Grandma and the kids great Grandma Elsberry.  We brought pizza and had lunch with her.  The kids like to play with her remote to her chair. 

We also couldn't pass up swimming at Matt's parents house and got to have visit time with them as well.  We were very gracious for letting us stay with them.

Carter also got to go to a Boise Hawks Baseball game with Grandpa Rod and Uncle Corey.  We love to head back home and enjoy everyone's company again.  So Fun!

Game Ball...

Matt and Carter had a boys night out and Carter caught a GAME ball at a Salt Lake Bees' game!   Well, a player signed it and motioned to Carter what kind of pitch he wanted thrown to him during innings.  Carter said a 'Knuckle Ball"..so Carter held out his mit and caught the ball.  How exciting!!!

They both had fun at the game...Eating fun food and enjoyed the fireworks after the game.

Boys at the Cabin

The boys had their annual trip to the cabin without us girls.  Carter always has a great time even though he was the only kid there.  He kept Grandpa entertained..as always! 



 

Scout Camp 2012

 

While I was at Girls Camp, Carter and Matt headed off to Scout Camp.  This collage just hits the highlights of all the activities, since Matt was the one taking the pictures.  Lots of fun boy things to do!  All the boys survived the 100 degree weather and no serious injuries occurred.  They both had a great time and Ashlynn was at a friends house all day while the boys were away.  

Hip Hop Pictures

Ashlynn looks so much older in these pictures.  She is still our cute little girl. 

Carter is such a handsome boy...even if his legs don't quiet match up to his shoes at the bottom of the picture..ha.ha.
The kids enjoyed their hip hop classes, but now are in tumbling.  They are in separate classes again, but are enjoying all the flipping they are learning. 

1st day of School 2012

Here we go starting another year of school for these two cute kiddos.  After staying up late with fireworks on the 24th...the kids had school bright and early then next day on the 25th.  To my surprise the kids were up early at 6am by themselves getting ready.  They were both excited and nervous to meet their new teachers and see their school friends again.  They both have great teachers that fit their very different personalities. It should be another great year!
