Water and Bubble Day

The Fun Continues...Ashlynn had bubble day when all the rest of the school had a huge water fight. It took us an hour and half to fill all the buckets and trash bins with water for the kids to have 5 minutes of fun. It was great! The teachers were also all in involved with the water fight. Everyone was soaked! The kindergartner's had their own fun with their bubbles.

Ashlynn's Field Day

The kindergartner's also got to join in on the fun for field day. She was acting so silly with all her friends. She had a great time too!

Carter's Field Day

The last week of school was definitively fun for the kids. This is Carter's fun activities at field day. The activities included a dunk tank, hula-hoop, jump houses, slides, and lots of water games. All of the kids had a blast. What a way to end the year!

Lincoln Olympics

Grades 1-6th got to participate in their annual end of the year Olympics. The kids did Olympic type events like running 50 & 100 meters, throwing shot put & discs, long jump and throwing the Javelin. What a fun day! Carter got several golds, silver and bronze awards. It was a hot day, but all the kids had their own water bottles and the teachers where spritzing the kids with spray bottles to keep them cool. I also had a great time helping out with the events. All the kids had a blast!

Ashlynn's grade (Kindergarten) had teddy bear picnic day. They had pizza and popsicles with their teddy bears. She also had a fun day!

Boise friends Visit

The last week of June our dear friends the Ross's from Boise visited us. We had so much fun during their visit. The kids enjoyed playing with eachother and being their crazy selfs. We had a bbq just like old times and then spent a day at lagoon. The girls made bracelets with Ashlynn to take home and we enjoyed the late night talks catching up on life. We hope they come back soon!

Go Rockies...

Carter finished up baseball this week. Our season was pushed out a few weeks because of all the rainy days that we had a the beginning of the season. We had to make up two weeks worth of games. We started the season with very cold weather and then our last game was in the 90's and we were very hot. Carter did really well this year. He is so used to being the small kid and having kids better them him in the previous leagues in Bountiful, but this year in Layton he was one of the older, bigger kids that had the more better baseball skills. He and his friend Ken would try to beat each other with the farthest hit and get the most outs. Being new to this league Carter was use to pitches coming from a machine at 35mph, but Layton league doesn't start machine pitch until 3rd grade. Carter has been smacking the balls being lobbed to him by the coaches. He is feeling pretty confident with his skills. He likes playing in the in-field and getting players out. He is such a character to watch! We ended the season with a BBQ at the park and they were handed very nice trophies with their names on it. We can't wait for next season.

Father's Day

We had planned to have a Kabob BBQ night with our neighbors, but the weather did not cooperate with us. So, we ended up postponing it to the next day. We still had fun celebrating this special day with Matt. We are so thankful for all he does for our little family.

We were finally able to have our Father's Day kabob BBQ. The sun has come out and we can now enjoy some summer weather. Bring out the sunscreen - we just need for school to be out to really be able to call it summer. Come on July 1st....it's just around the corner...!
