Another tooth gone...

Poor Carter, he spent the 3 day weekend wiggling his top tooth out. This one was a stubborn one. It was very sensitive and he could only eat things that were soft or he could swallow with out chewing. He was so frustrated because he was so hungry, but he couldn't chew. Finally, on Monday afternoon I pulled the tooth out with a little screaming and a few tears. He is so excited that it is finally out and he can eat again! Carter trying to eat soup without using his front tooth.
Poor little guy!

His bottom tooth fits into the missing top tooth's spot.

Look at this cute boy!
He now has contributed 3 teeth to his 1st grade class teeth total for the year.

Get ready to Rumble...

Carter started his second session of basketball and he seems to be enjoying it better than the 1st session. This past fall was his first real experience with basketball being the oldest child and he was confused and didn't know what to do other than run with the ball and shoot. He has been learning some skills (that you can't run with the ball) and is excited to play. He is always wanting to shoot hoops where ever he can. He has even come with me to the girls basketball practice at the church to get some hoop time in. (which if you know Carter he is very shy with teenage girls)
I love that he is so motivated! I thought this was a great shot minus the horrible
glare from plexy glass we have to sit behind.
(Carter is in the red shirt)
These boys are so into this game.
It is the cutest thing to watch.

Missing Teeth

Carter lost 2 teeth this week and he is so happy to have them both out. We wiggled the first one out with no problem and then the other tooth decided it wanted to come out on its own early in the morning. Carter woke up screaming "my tooth fell out and it's in my mouth." I am glad he didn't swallow it as he was screaming and running to the bathroom. He has two more that are loose on the top. It seems that he is loosing them all at once and he says it is hard to eat with all his wiggling teeth. We love looking at his new smile. Oh, the joys of being 6!

We love you Grandpa...

This past week we traveled to Idaho to attend my dear Grandpa's funeral. What a great man he was! He will always be a inspiration to me with all his accomplishments. During his life here on earth he was a man of courage, strength and good wisdom.
It was also nice to catch up with all my relatives. It has been a very long time since all of us have been able to get together (some of them 10 years or so). I haven't seen some of my cousins since they were little tiny kids-how time flies when your growing up. I know that Grandpa enjoyed looking over all of us while we were reacquainting with each other. There was such a peaceful and comforting spirit during the services. Till we meet again Grandpa. We love you!

Evening Activity..Shoveling Snow?

A few weeks ago we got a good snow storm that we ended up shoveling the driveway and walks 3 times in one day. I took my turn and shoveled in the morning, afternoon and Matt shoveled after work. Matt has also been shoveling at the Church after each snow fall. If you look at the positive we are definitely getting good exercise in. The kids also love to help out with their little shovels and join in on the snow shoveling fun.
