Last leg

This chair has made it through 14 years, 4 moves and several fix-it operations.  We have been wanting to replace the chair for a while so we ended up using our Christmas money from Tom and Frankie to get a new one.

The arms have fell off a few times..

Matt did some metal work to hold the support in the bottom.  The poor chair has been bandaid long enough.

Here is the new chair!  Leather, not too bulky, reclines, comfy and the best part is that it swivels around.  It is perfect!  We love the new chair and all our family can enjoy it.

Thanksgiving Fun with family

Tom and Frankie stopped in on their way to St. George a few days before Thanksgiving.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Joy Luck with them and Craig's family.

They surprised us with fun gifts!  Syd is loving her new socks!

A fun picture..Matt and Ashlynn with Carter in the background.
The last picture is what was in the box.

New jewelry...Grandma has great taste!

Tre, Ashlynn and Sam.

I love this wood carved star nativity!
So simple but beautiful and fit perfectly on my lamp.

We loved the visit from them!

DC Flash Baseball Fall League

The DC Flash Fall Baseball team has come to an end.  Here are some great photos that Elias' Grandpa captured.  Matt put this team together, created the name, jerseys and hats.  He did such a great job with these boys with the help of his friends Dustin and Brad.  We played double header Saturdays and played in a Tournament in Logan.  It was so fun to watch these boys improve and they all have incredible skills that added to this team.

Team huddle..Carter is standing by Matt.

Carter up to bat at the beginning of the season.

In-field warm up.

Team huddle to discuss a play.

Carter pitching. He has a mean curve ball.

This is a great photo of a team cheer before hitting the field.

This is a typical image of Matt being funny.
This random dog wandered on the field and Matt had to carry it off so that it wouldn't get hurt.

End of season celebration team photo.
Matt handed out individual awards to each of the boys.  Carter was awarded "Mr. In-Fielder"
He is amazing at any position in the In-field!
Then we handed out baseball bats that each of the boys signed.  Matt painted and added the DC Flash name on them to keep as a reminder of this team.
There was also a highlight video played of all their great plays throughout the season.  The DC Flash Baseball team had a lot to be proud of!

Reflections

This is the first year that the kids entered into the Reflections contest through the school district.  They both chose to make 3D Art.  The Theme was Believe, Dream and Inspire.

Ashlynn's origami silver princess crown.

Carter's origami rose cube.

We had to show that it transforms from a cube to a rose.
They made these all on their own and had fun entering into the contest.
The district judging is going on now...we will have to wait if any one of them wins.

More Crafting Girls Projects

Ashlynn has been busy finishing up some crafting girl projects that her Grandma Bobbi sends her way.  She loves to create and make things!
 Working away...
 White board framed with flowers.
 Beaded picture frame.

I love that she is creative and isn't afraid to do these projects.
She enjoys doing these projects!

First Snow Storm

We had snow falling starting Friday evening and woke up in the morning with it still snowing and it continued until mid-afternoon.  The kids were excited to pull out the snow gear and play outside!  Its always is funny to see how much the kids have grown since the last time they put on their snow gear.  Looks like we will be in the market for some new snow pants and boots.

This wasn't a ton of snow, but enough to play in.

The neighbor kids were also out joining in on the snow ball wars.

School Attendance Party

The kid's school have quarterly attendance parties throughout the year. If you miss less than a day and half then you can spend the afternoon out of class and PARTY! This time they had a skate party.  The kids could bring scooters or roller blades to stroll around the track.  It was a perfect fall day to enjoy the outside.  Carter's friends forgot their wheels so they played a game of soccer.  It was basically an additional 1 hour recess for them. So, we let another kid borrow Carter's blades.

The snow tipped mountains look so pretty.  Winter is on it way..whether we are ready or not.

It was also Red Ribbon week and the kids got to wear crazy things throughout the week.   The day of the skate party was wear sunglasses to school day.  Love those glasses Ashlynn!
