Fun with visitors from Idaho

Corey, Grandma bobbi and Grandpa Fred came to visit us last weekend. We had fun few days with them. Ashlynn had to pull out every game we have and Carter as always couldn't stop pestering poor Corey. Carter just loves to bug him. I think once a year is all Corey can handle. Thanks for the visit and can't wait to see you again.

Disney on Ice

The show was fun to watch. Ashlynn loved the princesses and Carter said he liked it all. It was interesting that during the show beach balls would fall out of the stage ceiling randomly through the performances. I don't think it was part of the show. Then, when they got to the beach show only 2 balls fell out. Oops...slight malfunction. We still enjoyed it!

Fun in the snow...

We were surprised no one had thought of this place to sled. There were no trails or foot prints anywhere. We made our own trails and had the place to ourselves. We found some good hills and shared some good laughs with everyone's wipe outs. We had a great time with our neighbors!

Valentine Fun

We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day. The kids had fun making valentines for our family in Boise and Aunt Tracy in Utah. There was kind of a postage mishap with our valentines and with G &G Peterson's treats for the kids. Our cards were in slightly larger envelopes so some recipents had to pay for extra postage once they got their card (sorry for the extra trouble). Then, Carter's valentine from G & G Peterson got returned back to Boise for more postage. Then resent and sent back for invalid postage. Then it was sent for the 3rd time and returned back to G & G Peterson opened and the valentine treat stolen out of the envelope. Grandma Frankie called and told us that it is on its way again. Crazy how you are just trying to do something special and it turns into a frustration situation.

What a great time of year to tell someone you are thinking of them!

Ice Castles

These castles were very fun to explore and look at! They are made out of sprinklers and freezing water. It was definitely cold and we walked around on chopped ice so there was no escaping the cold. We had fun time! After our exploring we ventured to a few shops around Midway and then ate dinner at the Homestead resort. It was a fun family outing. After leaving Midway Carter said that the town was very old and he wanted to go back home. He is such a funny kid...

Family Night Out

We all had fun learning how to ice skate again. It has been a few years since our last ice skating jaunt. The kids did a nice job and didn't have to hang on to the wall that much. I remember last time we did this my back was sore from holding Ashlynn up the whole time. No need this time, she just needed her hand to be held. We had a fun time!

Welcome 2011!!

Our family had a fun time ringing in the New Year. We joined in on the annual neighborhood New Years Eve party. All the kids were at one house with the Young Women in charge. The kids wore their pj's, ate popcorn, played games and watched a movie and the best part for the them was that there were no parents. When we showed up after midnight most of the kids were passed out in front of the TV with a few still running around. They thought it was great! The adults were at another house eating fun food, playing some really funny games and doing a white elephant gift exchange. We had some great laughs and it was also nice to get to know more people in our neighborhood/ward.
